A fine brass microscope in its original fitted case complete with lock (no key), possibly for entomology (c. 1880).

Base with 2 columns and side screw to regulate the distance.

The microscope is in superb condition with all of its original lacquer remaining and comes with a set of 3 numbered objectives ("1", "2", "3") and 5 glass slides. Probably a forceps is missing and one more little slot is empty (please see at pictures).

No sign or marks on it.
